“Let's make sustainable fashion the norm.”

It started with a chance meeting with an ethical brand founder, which sent me down a long path of research into how the fashion industry really operates. I came out of it with a simple question: could you build a full wardrobe from genuinely sustainable brands? Once I knew the answer was yes, I built Eco-Stylist to help people find them.

That meant building a certification. I started with my own criteria, then partnered with a nonprofit and adopted theirs — learning from people who’d been doing this longer than I had. We refined it through several rounds before I developed our own standard, focused on the issues that don’t shift year to year. Over 1,000 brands later, most still don’t pass. The ones that do have usually done the work quietly, without the language to prove it.

That’s the gap I help brands close. I’ve seen what separates real practice from good marketing, and I know what it takes to move a brand from one to the other.

I serve on the Board of Advisors for the SANE Standard. I’ve spoken in university classrooms around the world, at conferences including MOLA Day in LA and the Sustainable Fashion Forum, and on 30+ podcasts. My work has been featured in Bloomberg, Daily Mail, Forbes, Apparel News, and PitchBook.

I have an MBA from the University of Iowa, including a semester at Rotterdam School of Management. I work remotely, currently from Guatemala.
